Reiki is a Japanese form of healing that is becoming increasingly popular worldwide. What makes Reiki unique is that it incorporates elements of just about every other alternative healing practices such as spiritual healing, auras, crystals, chakra balancing, meditation, aromatherapy, naturopathy, and homeopathy.
Reiki knowledge passed from its founder, Mikao Usui - pictured here - through Dr. Chujiro Hayashi to Mrs Hawayo Takata, who brought the practice from Japan to the West.
Marion had the privilege to study with and be attuned by Ethel Lombardi, one of only 22 Reiki Masters trained by Hawayo Takata in the United States.

Craniosacral therapy is a very gentle practice that evaluates and corrects problems with the craniosacral system, which is made up of the skull, the sacrum, and the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that protect the brain and spinal cord. John Upledger, an osteopathic physician, discovered the craniosacral system and its importance after observing rhythmic motions of cranial bones during a neck surgery he was assisting in. Based on research throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s, CST was developed as an effective way to eliminate restrictions in the craniosacral system. Numerous conditions, such as migraines, autism, and colic, can be helped with the use of CST.
Many unresolved, long term, symptoms have a close and essential relationship with the mind that may not be apparent. Often this mind-body link must be given attention in order for the symptoms to clear up completely and permanently.
The somato emotional (somato-emotional) release aspect of craniosacral therapy is an effective and gentle way to work with problems that have this mind-body link. The term somato emotional is another way to say mind-body. Emotional refers to the mind and Somato means muscle (body). With a client's permission it can be seamlessly incorporated into the body therapy and be tailored to the client's comfort and sensitivily needs.
Therapeutic Touch is a contemporary healing modality drawn from ancient practices developed by Dora Kunz and Dolores Krieger. This practice is based on the assumptions that human beings are complex fields of energy and that the ability to enhance healing is a natural potential. - from therapeutictouch.org
